Featured Rescue - Barney the Bichon Frise

Today's featured rescue is Barney the Bichon Frise. He is 3 years old and located in Mentor, OH.

Barney has a fair amount of energy (what Bichon doesn't?) and needs daily exercise to keep him happy (again, what dog doesn't?). From the sounds of it, Barney will need a bit of work, but I'm sure he will turn out to be a great addition to the right home.

Oh my! Barney is just the most adorable little guy!!! How I wish I could adopt another bichon....I've been working on my husband, but so far...I am only allowed two of them. I had a bit of an alpha issue with my little rescue...but she has now been here for about a year and a half and she is doing just fine! We are both happy that she is sharing our home!! I sure hope that Barney will find a forever home real soon!!

Bichons are terrific little dogs.

Good luck, Barney!

Bichons are adorable. I went w/a friend several years ago as support and to meet a fellow rescuer w/whom, at the time, I had only emailed. My friend got her Bichon rescue :). Debi offered me another one; I passed. She looked at me, then said, "Oh, yea, you are the hound person." Sucker. She brought out a double dapple Doxie puppy w/blue eyes and put him in my arms. He has been with me ever since :).
