Guess the Breed #6

Today's Guess the Breed has been brought to you by Calsidyrose, author of We Don't Rent Puppies . She generously offered some pictures of shelter dogs for us to guess at! Very nice of her, eh? If you have time, go check out her blog. It's always an interesting read.

This guy is estimated to be around one year old.
Please post your guesses in the comments section, but remember the rules!

Looks like a terrier mixed with something to me.

He has a border terrier-type body, but his face looks very Cairn.

Maybe you can slip us a hin--er, bone and tell us outright if we should be guessing for a purebred or a mix?

We'll never know for sure, but I'm thinking "Willis" has cairn terrier in him since he has prick ears.

Believe it or not, this dog is listed on our site as a Basenji mix.

Calisdyrose, "We Don't Rent Puppies."

p.s. He barks.

I don't know many dogs that don't:)

Blaze is studying for her degree.

Flip's already graduated.

He reminds me of Benji - I know he doesn't look right at all (colours, fur and bone structure are all wrong), but for some wild and crazy reason, that's who I think of.

I"m a little late with this one. His coloring & general body type certainly does look Border Terrier-ish. He just might be purebred as it's not uncommon for ears to go prick for older BTs. I just looked up the BT standard because I couldn't remember if their tails are docked (they arn't). His coat, especially for an older dog looks pretty thin & short. I'm guessing Border Terrier mix
