As always, if any of you can open your home to a rescue dog, I urge you to do so. If you have already done so, than that's great!
Please feel free to post a comment about your rescue dog or tell a story about your experiences with rescues/shelters. If you would prefer, feel free to email it to me and I will post it in one of the daily blog posts.

I keep asking for a sibling but mom says we can't. I was a rescue. I was found wandering the streets of Memphis TN at 6 mos old. You can read my story on my blog-it's posted along the sidebar. The people from the animal clinic and rescue are amazing people who kept me alive. (PAWS new england rescue ) . My mom can't imagine life without me and she will always choose to rescue.

I have adopted 2 rescues... a catahoula mix and a blue heeler mix, both scheduled to be put down. The catahoula, Daisy, has turned out to be an amazing dog. She is very quiet and a great companion. The heeler, Noelle, is a little more of a challenge but tries very hard to be good :)
I wouldn't trade them in for anything... even the husband. After all, the dogs were here first!!

Norwood - I have enjoyed reading your posts on your blog. It is good to read some from a rescue standpoint. I would like to post a link to your blog in the near future, but I'm working on figuring out how to slide it in seamlessly :)

SweetPea - I read an interesting article just last night about a lady who had been reunited with a long lost love, moved to live with him, only to find out that her dogs were not welcome in the house (at all)! I am glad you have found some good friends in rescue. There are many good ones out there - and many more that want to be good, just don't yet know how.
